The JIFBW Octofest held on October 25-28, 2024 is an important event in the Indonesian furniture industry calendar. The festival, which takes place in Jepara, a city renowned for its rich furniture and woodcarving heritage, brings together artisans, manufacturers, and buyers from around the world to explore and celebrate Indonesian furniture and craftsmanship.

At the JIFBW Octofest, participants consisted of local and international furniture manufacturers, artisans, and design studios showcasing a diverse range of products from traditional Indonesian woodwork to contemporary furniture designs. Exhibitors showcased their collections in private showrooms and in designated theme zones in Jepara, allowing buyers and visitors to immerse themselves in the art and heritage of Indonesian furniture production.

The event features a range of activities, including live craft demonstrations such as sculpting or carving and business meetings. There is also a forum where industry leaders discuss future trends, challenges and opportunities in the global furniture market. Visitors, including furniture buyers, designers, and hospitality industry representatives, attend the event to discover new products, foster business relationships, and experience first-hand Jepara’s unique crafts.
This October’s party was held along Jalan Pemuda, in collaboration with painting artists, music artists, young people and other industries such as troso fabric makers, jewelry models etc. The 4-day event is not only to entertain out-of-town and international guests, but also to entertain the entire Jepara community. To increase the interest of young people in paying attention to local arts and culture inherited from predecessors.
The JIFBW Octofest is expected to take place annually with the aim of succeeding the larger annual March event, the Jepara International Furniture and Craft Buyer Weeks. An international event that brings together major business players around the world with craftsmen and furniture manufacturers in Jepara.
